Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli is the Edgar L. and Harold H. Buttner Chair of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley. A pioneer in electronic design automation, his research has transformed how integrated circuits and embedded systems are designed. Co-founder of Cadence and Synopsys, two of the world’s largest EDA companies, he bridges academia and industry. At The Future of Science, he addressed the future of computing and digital design.
