Derrick de Kerckhove is a Belgian-Canadian media theorist and former director of the McLuhan Program in Culture and Technology at the University of Toronto. A student and collaborator of Marshall McLuhan, de Kerckhove has extended McLuhan’s insights into the digital age, exploring how networked technologies reshape cognition and culture. At The Future of Science, he examined the cognitive and social impacts of the digital revolution.
